Italian band Doomsword, formed in 1997 and released a demo called "Sacred Metal" which contains most of the songs of their later full album called "Doomsword" in 1999.
This album was inspired by stories like Lord of the Rings but mostly the saga of Elric of Melnibone as you will notice if you check the song titles.
The entire album is quite good for all those who like Epic-Doom metal.

I take it you are referring to Cirith Ungol from the album "One foot in Hell". Both versions are excellent imo and Cirith Ungol was indeed far ahead of their time when they wrote music. Glad that you enjoyed the song :)14 years ago
