Great bit of Can... much better than the version on the LP. And is that really Dave Nice (from Radio Fab FM) on keyboards...? ;-)

This is soo awesome. Jaki must be a super humble dude to just kick back and play the drums like that when he really has the ability to go off like a madman with four genius limbs that can all have their own shit going on, completely independent of each other. Sadly, it does look a bit like they are all waiting for Damo to come down from the great acid temple in the clouds and join them though. Seems a little lost or empty maybe without him screaming like a unicorn in labour over the top of it a

I think this kind of thing from Can was a big influence on Eno and Byrne for 'Bush of Ghosts' - seems way ahead of its time with the use of samples and metronomic beat.

It's not improvised. The basic riff appears as Moonshake on the album Future Days, and then was recycled for Don't Say No on Saw Delight. They're both almost exactly the same song.

I think this is one of Can's live improvised songs, similar to Dizzy Dizzy from the same televised show.

I was luck enough to see them at Edinburgh University Helath Centre in 1977. I remember this track well - they probably played most of Saw Delight that night. Also remember Rosko Gee's top-hat and long scarf - awsome bass line.
