Don't Let The Smokey Mountain Smoke Get In Your Eyes

Live in Sweden, February or March 1980.

Bobby Osborne - mandolin

Sonny Osborne - banjo

Paul Brewster - guitar

Jimmy D. Brock - bass

From a VHS tape with realy bad quality, the guy that "panic" recorded it from TV had inserted the first available tape he found and there is probably some material missing in the begining of the show.

When I was 3, I remember riding to Tennessee to ride the smokey mountain express and this song was the first song that I heard on the trip. Possibly the earliest song that I remeber hearing!

I think it was because he was in Sweden and he was quoting "Keep your hand on that plow, hold on"

The best version of this song - should be the theme song of east Tennessee.

Sonny was just playing with the people there. He went into playing a song called Reuben. It just fit into what he was playing so he just put it in there.

@MrJeffnow i love bluegrass, i love blues, i love rock, i love jazz, i love hip hop, but i can not stand autotune. but, rappers like Jay-Z, Nas, Slug (from atmosphere), Brother Ali, and B.I.G. are definitely talented people.
