Gay clubs/bars did and a bar called ROSCOE'S here in the Northside of Chgo also known as "BOYSTOWN" played the "WHEN LOVE CRIES" and "CARRY ON" videos around late 1991 into 1992. I was partying and dancing my tush off on the dancefloor while vids were on the screen usually 35 to 40 min before closing time on the weekdays and as a windown music on SAT b4 closing at 2am.(that's CHI-TOWN for you) but other bars/clubs remained open until 4am on Fri and Sat nites.

I'd like to know about that video too, if it exists. All of the stories I've heard state that no official video was made because at the time the single was due to be released, Donna was mourning the loss of one of her sisters. As far as I have ever heard/read...this was the only single/video released in support of this album.

There was a video for "WHEN LOVE CRIES" which was given a whole lot of airplay on MTV or VH1 but I'm sure BET played it. It was being played on the videoscreen of a dance club I went to. Donna has the blond hair in it.but styled differently from the album cover. Can someone post it if they have it. Thanx!

This was nice from a very underrated and ignored Donna album. Many catchy songs on "MISTAKEN IDENTITY." It was the polar opposite of the previous "ANOTHER PLACE AND TIME."

"Work That Magic" is the second and final single from "Mistaken Identity." Had this been the lead single, it would have helped sales of the album.

Quality of transfer sucks a bit, but better than nowt. I love this song, it should have been a hit! (And Ian Stanley should have remixed the whole of Mistaken Identity!)
