Lady of the Night is the first album by American singer Donna Summer (LaDonna Adrian Gaines (December 31, 1948 -- May 17, 2012 R.I.P.). The album, which was produced by Pete Bellotte, was released in 1974 only in The Netherlands, and spawned the hit singles "The Hostage" and "Lady of the Night". After this album, the real - world wide - success started with 'Love to love you baby'.
