Still, I would have liked to have heard Tina Turner take this one on... either as a solo, or as a duet with Donna! DJ Tony did the ground work - I've added a more 4-on-the-floor feel to it, and smoothed out some rough sets of 8.

The early 80's were very much a period where they were busy trying to reinvent the wheel. I look at The Human League's Dare album as an example - after the experimentation of M (Pop Muzic) and other acts like Gary Numan introducing new electric sounds to our ears, which culminates with Dare and the Kraftwerk sound et al, a mere decade later synths are used to copy authentic acoustic sounds like violins and oboes, and moog-inspired sounds are non-existent in pop. The Wanderer is one on my favorite Donna Summer Albums. I remember jamming to this song a lot. She has a beautiful and versatile instrument and is consistently underrated and overlooked.
