don't let the flawless production or exquisite musicality fool you, although it's very easy that they would. this is a very sad, heart-wrenching song; dark, like much of the album. "Mona" is kind of paralleled by "Miss Marlene" off "Sunken Condos." Again, a hip, smooth piece layered over a tragic story.
