And with all due respect to the Don's general vocal skills, this particular rhythm & melody doesn't quite suit his voice imho. So for me it's no cigar. In fact I don't really dig the tune itself that much. Thank da stars theres 1000 hrs of superb stuff to fall back on..

Yeah... Wow. Just sitting here in a work day letting these things roll along song after song, and all of a sudden... "Hey, I've never heard this before!!" Pretty awesome. Great song, too. Love it.

Probably my favorite Fagen solo tune, and one that's up there with the creme de le creme of Dan standards.

I looked at the title for this track as it was in the 'up next' column and thought "that isn't on Kamakiriad. I knew I was right and my reward is a Fagen tune I had not yet heard. Many thanks to 'brtherjohn' for posting . I dig Fagen in any way shape or form. If he is involved you can always count on super good tunes to follow. What a genius... oh Yeah I dig Becker too but Donald Fagen is a damned master!!

Sounds almost like a live recording, maybe Beacon Theater rehearsals trying out songs that Donald conceived as possible Kamakiriad tracks? Just a thought, it would fit the timeline and the musician credits I think ? ? . . . Just a thought, and thanks for the great post, and again just when you thought you had heard and bought every track in every available format! . . . YouTube . . . ah! We are blessed!

He's a real person? Didn't know that. I missed that '93 tour. Didn't see the Dan until the Everything Must Go tour in '03. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Drew Zingg is a real person. He's been around the band for quite a while. He played guitar on SD's 1993 tour.

Drew Zingg on guitar. I'm guessing that's Walter Becker. Those clever Steely Dan guys and their funny pseudonyms.
