This is the best version I have ever heard of this song. God Bless the men of the Green Beret. Truly you are the best. I was never a patriotic person and I never wanted my sons to join any branch of the military, but I say this day 2/16/15 I appreciate all of the military that has fought for me and my family. Hello Dolly,I had two son's serving my oldest served a tour in Iraq and a tour in Afg. and served with the 101st and my youngest is in Infantry and went to Afgan. first where he met a group of soldiers and who also wear the green beret. they made him an honorary member but they do not do it for us, God, or Country only to allow the friend next to them to return home. I am proud of both my son's. When you think of them or all soldiers as I am a vet myself think of the cost of loosing or injury to a friend they swore to protect.
