I love watching them; they immediately bring happiness to the soul as they dance and play together on sunny afternoons, chasing each other across wild flower meadows. Delicacy and beauty of their wings designs, colour contrasts, unique patterns and symmetry show intelligent and thoughtful creation. When our hearts respond to things it shows deep connection and meaning, not unexpected, unplanned mutation of freak coincidence colliding chaos. The relationship and response of the heart reveals depth and purpose.Stuck in a traffic jam with the frustrations of modern life I was immediately transported to a different dimension and kingdom existing alongside us as a beautiful butterfly came and danced in and out of the hedge beside my car. Its pace was natural, its dance was charming - it brought me instant joy and I forgot all about things that seemed so insignificant, I was happy to stay put and watch.The beauty and enchantment of their journey from Caterpillar, chrysalis to butterfly feels like the journey of my soul when it was freed by God as He invited me to play and enjoy life and His Creation. I love this time of year when nature bursts back into life, flowers start to bloom, blossom and warm fresh cut grass perfume the air. Much more pleasing than tarmac.
