I remember hearing this version first around 1988... Slightly later when I discovered the original, I actually thought it was a Dollar song only to realise it was Erasure's actually.But preferring this one over Erasure's absolute treasure hit, dear people, is a blasphemy. Dollar may have been hit wonders earlier on, but with "Oh Lamour" they did a very poor (dreadful in fact) carbon copy - which at "best" sounds plastic as plastic can get.

I am watching this vid,as DVD [David Van Day]is on Jeremy Kyle show.How drugs near ruined his life[like it did many a person!]and how he and the Gorgeous Teresa Bazaar [Dollar better half]ended up splitting up,mind you,Him s----ing over 1400 girls behind Her back,did'nt help[self confessed!]But Boy,I wish I'd ve been around when they did split,I'd ve consoled Teresa alright.that night,every night,but she moved on went to Australia married,now a millioneress.mmmm,never mind!
