How to spoil one of Lynch's best solos? Listen to Norum...he has got the answer

Don Dokken has always been one of my favorite lead singers but lately he's gotten lazy in his singing. He don't even try to hit the high notes anymore. I'm really disappointed in his performance these days. I wonder if that's why George Lynch and him had a falling out. George was giving it his all and Don acts as if he has lost his passion for being a great singer? I'd tell it to his face too. I saw a video with Don and Mick and Don's attitude sucked. I've been a Dokken fanatic since Tooth and Nail. Who knows. I do agree that John Norum has always been awesome!

This guy who is the " fill in for Don's version is playing everything pretty much note for note and it sounds great thru a Les Paul and what a lot of people don't know is George Lynch is a strat player but loves Les pauls ! a guitar whch is made from Mahogony is is clearly " superior to any other no matter what ! there is the Maple top wich gives a " bite " Also but the Les Paul will always be king and its " clones ! Listen to that " tone and resonance " and amazing ! Mahogony , the " king of guitar woods" !

I heard that Norum left this tour abruptly, apparently he was home sick and missed his cat. Heard this from the guys on "The Classic Metal Show" :-)

I play the guitar myself, and John Norum is one of the best guitarists ever. He has inspired me a long time and still does. He can do anything on a guitar, but his best feature is his touch whsh is unique. The only guitaris I can think of matching him was Gary Moore

to those who dont know who norum is, actually he never cloned lynch at all. that's why his solos where similar but different, his own way. Norum had and ( even more today) has his own style, which is what actually makes him well respected in the guitar world.

don is talking rather than singing. met dokken in dublin 83 approx. bummed a fag off mick B, geirge and jeff were cool,,, Don was so arrogant, i asked him "Don, whats it like being a rockstar", he said i'm a musican... and an arrogant one at that. no wonder george had enough.

The band sounds tight as hell, but Don Dokken seems to have lost his voice. This lineup featuring John Norum ( guitars ), Barry Sparks ( bass ) and Mick Brown ( drums ) was awesome. Great guitar solo by Norum.

The band sounds tight, but Don Dokken can't sing that song. John Norum plays perfect.
