This is probably my favorite song of all time period. The combination of Lester's rhythm guitar technique, earls banjo pickin and the conversation between them define the original principal of "drive" in bluegrass. It has not to so with speed, stayin' on top of the song and pushing it. I agree with the consensus, no one since can touch it.

I can tell you that this song is a lot tougher to sing in a band than it seems. The unusual rhythm of the song makes it a challenge. Lester made it sound so easy.
