This music is so beautiful it makes me feel happy and sad at the same time i cried when The Face Of Boe died one of the saddest deaths in Doctor Who i missed him but then in Last of the Timelords when Captain Jack said that back home they called him The Face Of Boe i had to rewind that to make sure i hared that right and when i did i was as shocked as The Doctor and Martha and then smiled and laughed to myself, i hope they explain that one day.

I absolutely loved this episode. What's not to like? Cute kittens and a very likable character that gave up everything so humanity might survive. The Face of Boe didn't appear often but whenever he did; he really had an impact. Such a moving episode . Season 3 really shifted into higher gear with this episode; I wasn't really as impressed with the previous William Shakespeare episode but man this episode was where it's at! There was no true villains in this episode either; so it worked a treat and was done to great effect. Yeah I know there were those macras but I just don't really count them as they really seemed more like wondering wild animals (apparently in the original version of Doctor Who they were more intelligent but in the case of this episode they are just feral and devolved ). :)

I love that the face of Boe is the Doctor's oldest friend, but he finally finds out that it's Captain Harkness, who he doesn't really always get along with. Cue the aaww.

When listening to this music I experience flashes of Jack Harkness in my mind. Scenes from Doctor Who and Torchwood. The adventures and heartbreak Jack experienced (losing people close to him: Estelle, Tosh, Owen, Ianto etc, Grey's betrayal, the destruction of Torchwood) and the countless amount of physical trauma he received over the 'millions' of years of his life. It makes me happy to think he finally died for good (if Boe really IS Jack - I like to believe he is!) with two people that really mattered to him: Martha Jones and, more importantly, the man who set him on his path from the very beginning: The Doctor himself.

Does anyone know what music is played in The human nature and The Family of Blood? It is very similar to this part 0:15, but its not this song. (It is also played on the end of Blink)

I /did/ actually see that Martha talked about the Face of Boe to the Doctor in front of Jack in "Utopia."

To anyone who doesn't know how Jack got to be a big 'ol face in a jar:Imagine living for billions on BILLIONS of years. Your legs would simply waste away and not be able to support your head anymore. Jack simply evolved, and became that familiar face in a jar.
