Theme from the TV series Doctor Kildare written by Jerry Goldsmith. This is an excerpt from the "TV Themes Medley" track from the CD "Goldsmith Conducts Goldsmith" conductionng the Philharmonia Orchestra. This beautiful melody has been haunting me over 40 years. One of my favorite soundtrack composers. What he does with the French horn is beyond description. Enjoy!

watched it in London in 1964-65? Chamberlain played with R Massey. The music was somehow heavier and more dramatic. Chamberlain sings the song on his 1964 LP!9 years ago

I always saw his name under the music done by....WOW what an artist .... he was Mr. Music what a great guy must have had music whirling in his head .... Omigosh! I remember this theme song and LOVED it as a little girl. I had the biggest crush on Dr. Kildare, too! Our family had an album of this theme song and Ben Casey, and others... can't think of all of them right now, but they were all beautiful compositions.
