Of course I know what a freestyle is I've been listening to hip hop since '89, the old meaning was something improvised on the spot but nowadays it's come to mean an unrehearsed track. Dmx is known to put freestyle's into actual songs like when he did a freestyle on BET the basement and it ended up being the first verse of where the hood at. I've only ever heard this version of this track so assumed that's where it's originally from.
