The 40s were an amazing decade of great jazz and jazz culture. Django Reinhardt, and Stephen Grappelli. Were an excellent alternative to the big band sound of the day. Even with just only the use of two fingers on his left hand. Django's, playing was so fluid and musical. Brilliant mind, laced with sheer perseverance. Django was so unique then. And is still a major stand out talent to this very Sunday morning as I wake, and I find myself listening to wonderful the music of Django Reinhardt.

What I love about Django is not only his beautiful music but the fact that he lived for his music and even tho he had no money no job and nothing except his guitar and a caravan all he wanted to do was play his music and didn't have a care in the world! he even lost most of his left hand in a fire and that never stopped him!
