Well, seems you are hearing the same as me, I thought it was my ears! I guess, yeah, it makes sense if you take it as "we've done the bombs, now here's the education". One for the samples folder, I think ...

I'm not trying to explain. The American Troops were send to Europe to fight and bomb the Nazis to submission. They had to be told something as motivation to fight. A lot of those soldiers had (as of today in other situation) no idea or info about Europe and the Nazis. Unfortunately this attitude is still there. See Vietnam, Irak and Afghanistan. Granada is to small to mention.

Er, not sure that really explains anything. It's a weird juxtaposition whether in wartime or in peace. (And it's peacetime, BTW: this is 8th December, not 12th August as in the US date format. Which really would have been sick 3 days after Nagasaki...)
