He was running around with some rappers (prominent and legends today) and they was in the studio, Quick was producing/running the board and stuff. The fellas had a hard time putting quality lyrics to the beats, so he stepped up to show them how it was done. And "Quick is the Name" was given to the world and one of the best complete street rap albums to this day. I should also mention that if I recall he put the lyrics and music together in a matter of a couple days.
