For me, the three tracks you've mentioned are some of the best stuff on Ownerz. Maybe because Preem sounded both classic and expeimental on those :) But I kinda agree, the last album of the duo could be even better if eyou could replace some of the beats and some of the featured guests.

nobody disagreeing there. But you know, the perfect storm has to happen for an emcee and dj. The beat has to be magic, and the emcee has to totally ride the beat like a beast master.

@peter091783 Go Listen to "The Ownerz" Album again, I Personally think that was one of the Best Hip Hop Albums of the 2000's along with Ghostface "Supreme Clientele"& "Fishscale" & "Apolla Kids", M.O.P.'s "Warriorz", Nas's "Gods Son", Jay-Z's "Blueprint",Common's "BE" & Finding Forever", Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force", Non Phixion's "The Future Is Now", Raekwon's "Cuban Linx 2", Blaq Poet's "Tha Blaqprint" & Cormega's "Born And Raised", Peace

This got Guru, Big L, 2Pac, B.I.G, and Big Pun written all over this beat. Man, if heaven had a mailing address, trust me I would deliver it myself to those guys. R.I.P to the Legends, oh and I forgot about my man Heavy D (R.I.P) for real.

This seems like something pre-95, meaning before he got into his signature snares and chops

It's because of Gang Starr that I really got into jazz. Amazing as always. Peace.
