Let U Go by ATB isn't even "original". The original, if we were to get picky, belonged to Roberta Harrison and her husband for her band.. Roberta Harrison, of course, is CREDITED with writing the song and ATB made a completely different genre of a song. That is how you be an honest songwriter. Mystik has never done this for any of his CDs. One way or another, he has profitted by fraudulent means and people are STILL crediting him as a "good DJ".

Again, I didn't say this was the original song of ATB. You could call this a remix or you could call it a cover - nonetheless, I have yet to see a Mystik record where he doesn't misrepresent himself. Making a cover/remix of a song is fine - credit HAS to go back to the original somewhere, even on the liners. But that's how Mystik did business back in the 90's. He sold a bunch of mixes through CDs and mislabelled all the titles. Some of the songs he didn't even do anything with.

This sounds completely different from the original. Maybe he should of put remix and credited the original owners, however this was during the napster era..where music copyright and all that jazz became a started becoming a big issue. I think anyone that is knowledge in trance music would be able to determine that it original belongs ATB , example fake bloods " i think i like it" he clearly sampels the shit out of In the Heat of a Disco-Night by Arabesque.

@iperez30 OFC not. ATB is a somebody. Mystik is a nobody even though he produces albums... but those albums are not even his songs. It's stupid to put his name over on top of songs that he did not do much on.

yo sorry if i made u mad or rant for a while i just grew up listening to mystik when you grow up listening to something you think its the best and i dont think i said anything about kanye lol

Okay one last one. Visit his Myspace page (btw, it's his only "official" page to the DJ). If he really was this great, why isn't there a REAL DJ Mystik page you can reach to? Visit Armin Van Buuren's site, or Ferry Corsten, or Paul van Dyk - any of the superstar DJ/producers. On Mystik's Myspace page, the songs that people are worshipping here are completely gone from that page. Instead, he places some VERY lackluster songs there. It makes me wonder how he could get fame from those songs.

Last part of my rant: I used to listen to Mystik. I used to think "hey this guy's good and I put him on my playlist". Now, my playlists are completely devoid of him. It's over the years of listening experience and knowledge that I know Mystik wasn't involved at all in the productions of the songs. I use discogs to track the artists and remixers of songs and I have YET to see a DJ Mystik vinyl out. I have overwhelming proof that Mystik is a fraud. Ask me for the evidence, I'll gladly show.

Use your head for a moment. If Kanye West can play his sample of Hard Faster Stronger out and public and the overwhelming majority of the public has no problem with it despite a very high chance that one of them will be also a Daft Punk fan, then you SHOULD be able to know that his song is considered original. Mystik gets his "fame" from distributing CDS. It's quite a farcry of a comparison you're making between Mystik and Kanye. Why bother defending him? I USED to listen to Mystik.

Trust me, learn to use a software DJ program and learn to use it for a while. You'd really be surprised that you'll soon be exceeding the skillsets of what DJ Mystik actually has. Sure Mystik has "experience" but his skillset, I'm telling you, is extremely low. It's one reason why you NEVER hear about Mystik IN and OUT of clubs. Ask Ferry Corsten if he's heard of the Great DJ Mystik. Also, do yourself a favour and check out his page. Notice all his "best" songs aren't there?

I never said it was the original song. Learn to read. I said this is some remix of a Let You Go and I don't believe Mystik had a hand in it. The difference you're pointing out is why Mystik fanboys have trouble seeing the difference between originality and copycatting. Kanye West took a SAMPLE (yes, not the whole song) and made it into a completely different song and genre. That song is now in hip/hop. What does Mystik do? Copies. Simply that.
