Every person has the right to have their own opinion not matter what you career is. weather others agree or not it doesn't matter.

Only reason I like country music is because of these guys who are liberals. Fuck conservatives and republicans.

Freedom of speech is still freedom of speech if someones beliefs or opinions go against your own. I find it truly amazing that a lot of the people sending these girls death threats would probably flip their shit if their first amendment rights were being violated.

These fine sounding (and looking) girls were about the hottest item in country music those last couple years in the 1990s and into the early 2000s. This one was the very first I heard from them. It was not their first, but it came out in late summer of 1998.I always have a very sentimental attachment and liking for this song. I always was hot for that fiddle girl lol. I forget her name now. The Dixie Chicks were good stuff. I miss them. They were about the final generation and the end of the line for great country music.. :-/

Who doesn't know what I'm talking aboutWho's never left home, who's never struck outTo find a dream and a life of their ownA place in the clouds, a foundation of stoneMany precede and many will followA young girl's dreams no longer hollowIt takes the shape of a place out westBut what it holds for her, she hasn't yet guessed[Chorus]She needs wide open spacesRoom to make her big mistakesShe needs new facesShe knows the high stakesShe traveled this road as a childWide eyed and grinning, she never tiredBut now she won't be coming back with the restIf these are life's lessons, she'll take this testShe needs wide open spacesRoom to make her big mistakesShe needs new facesShe knows the high stakesShe knows the high stakesAs her folks drive away, her dad yells, "Check the oil!"Mom stares out the window and says, "I'm leaving my girl"She said, "It didn't seem like that long ago"When she stood there and let her own folks knowShe needed wide open spacesRoom to make her big mistakesShe needs new facesShe knows the high stakesShe knows the high stakesShe knows the highest stakesShe knows the highest stakesShe knows the highest stakesSongwritersS.L.
