While I was in the U.S. Navy, at sea the chaplain tended to stray from religion when doing his evening nightly prayer at taps. The Commanding officer told the chaplain to "just stay with that God Damn Religion." That's what the DC's should have done and they'd still be out there. I want to be entertained, not lectured. If I want lectures I'll tune in FOX news. You never see Bill O'Reilly singing.

Everybody needs space! Guys are getting the raw deal these days! Susan Gibson wrote this song, not the Dixie Chicks--She is from Amarillo, TX. She had a band called the Groobies long ago. I think she retired after this song became a hit. It sold over ten million copies! A mega hit! She still gets royalty checks I'm sure. Glad the Chicks recorded it.

Fantastic group--sure miss 'em. I never saw them live, but I'm so glad they did all the music they did. After 2003 and the big blow up in the press, they never got back to where they were. Such a shame! Best thing about their shows--all the incredible hot girls showing up! Dyam! Even in the concert footage, the audience is like 90% female--man wish I could get into that kinda gig today. Girls at their shows look really nice and decent. Can't find that anywhere today.

Next time you write a comment can I suggest that you think about if first. Is this what you really think or have you heard or read somewhere and thought it sounded good. I love this song. I don't think any guy can say he really understands women, cause they're all different, but the one thing they all really need is sometimes the hardest thing to give: space. When you love someone, you want to protect her from harm, but that's not what she needs. She needs to stand on her own feet and face the world on her own terms. She might appreciate you having her back, and your hand being there if she reaches for it, but it has to be her choice.
