Christina Amphlett gives it her all in this 1984 performance for Rock 'N' Roll Tonite. The song "Elsie" appears on the Divinyls debut album -- which, depending upon your location, was either "Monkey Grip" or "Desperate."

Someone get this band a fashion and clothes designer! I guess being Australian they wouldn't have any concept of what fashion is or means. Not a bad tune for such a primitive black hating race!

Look, mom! No dancers or ropes. But I got me a band, energy and a whole lot of grit. Celebrating the late, great, Chrissy Amphlett of the Divinyls.

Gawd, what an amazing woman Chrissy Amphlett was! Fierce, freaky, roaring, uncompromising and unafraid to explore the boundaries of performance art in the rock 'n' roll context. Whenever I find someone who only knows Divinyls for "I Touch Myself", I give 'em a link to this video.

This 1982-'85 lineup was my favourite although Chrissy wouldn't have met Charley if Harve had stayed in the band. I'm happy she spent her last years with someone who cared so much.
