Not a fan or anything just commenting on what I think. Correct me if I am wrong but the Piano sounded like ass at the beginning more so to me than the vocals. The Piano might be throwing your ear off and thinking the vocals sound weird.

he started to low and couldn't get it back, maybe he was tired. But there are several ranges that has to go through. This is an absolutely impossible to sing the way he did on Conan. Still one of the greatest songs ever done.

I think David is really "disturbed" in this performance. Because this is not him. He can do way better than this. Something must have gone wrong. Maybe monitors, maybe he is exhausted.

Its a half a step down and it almost sounded like he didn't know at the beginning. Maybe he was ill and they decided to drop the key down to make it easier for him without having a proper run through. For those saying "nervous"... an x factor audience isn't really intimidating compared to countless other gigs they've done. Saw them at Download Donnington this year and they nailed it completely live. They also brought on Blaze Bayley for a duet which made me happy.
