i mean weed is not bad at all, but all the killings it causes, that's the "mortal" part, hehhehe. Is cool that you like it! that song was uploaded by a friend, but I planned to upload the entire album myself.

I looked your band up. I like it! It's pretty good. It was a song called Genius Of Dread. Is that possible? It's pretty good man!

Cool! I'll look it up. A bit of weed doesn't cause suffering, right? But maybe that's just because I'm from Holland :-) Hard drugs like heroin do some serious mental and physical damage though.

haahahaha, thanks dude, that's a band i used to sing for! lol the name is just the result of an ocious moment! hehehehe and it is related to drug cartels since we are from they cultivate it. It is like a play on words, because it causes suffer but joy as well.

Okay, cool! I don't know any of those bands, but I'll check them out. By the way, Mortal Cannabis is the best band name ever. Does that have anything to do with the drug cartels in Mexico? Haha!

I forgot Moonspell in 1998, hehehe. Death metal in Mexico? yes, bands like Makina, Disgorge, Shamash, Buried Dreams, Mortal Cannabis, Cenotaph, Agony lords, Under Moonlight Sadness, Infinitum Obscure. \m/

Actually as long as I know, Dimmu was in Mexico, D.F. (the capital) for the first time in 1999 with Samael. I didn't see them because i was living in the middle of nowhere back then, so it was kinda difficult (and expensive) to travel 20 hours to see metal bands! I saw them on 2001 anyway. Metal is kinda "known" in the big cities, since the 80s. I saw Emperor in 1999, Therion in 2000 and Dissection in 2005 (at Tijuana, the city I live now).

I hope for you that they will also play it in Mexico, but still, I've understood that Mexico has some pretty good death metal bands. Is that true? Also, bands like Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu, Epica, Arch Enemy, that kind of stuff has been to Mexico, right? I'm pretty sure.

EDT complete? cool! well, I live in Mexico, near USA, European bands that i like does not tour often in this side of the ocean.

Well, even when it's necessary (Like disco metal) I don't really bitch about other people's taste. I just listen to the stuff I like, and I don't listen to the stuff I don't like. It's as simple as that! If you like that song, did you go to their anniversary shows? They played EDT live. The full thing! I saw them in Haarlem, Holland and I have seen a lot of metal shows, but I've never seen such a tight show as Dimmu in Haarlem! It was good to hear some of those songs being performed.

Totally agree, pal. \m/ I have favorite subgenres metal, but i'm not that much on bashing the ones i don't like, except when the band is making such crap, that is important to express it! Btw, my favorite song from that dimmu's album is "In death's embrace" is total maiden worship! Have to listen to it now, ages without listen to.

I think you're right. I think that if no band would ever change their style, people wouldn't have anything to bitch about anymore and all the internet forums would just collapse upon itself... Anyway, I know what you mean, that the atmosphere was gone. I don't think so, listen to a song like Entrance. If that song doesn't have atmosphere, I don't know what has. And like you said, it's still heavy fucking metal! Does it have to be BM to be good? no.

Well, is just that some people "rage" about bands that change their sound and appearance, it seems that that makes them happy =). I think the music of dimmu has become more avantgarde and symphonic,i don't dislike them but i'm not really into them. EDT was a great album, but even in those days, when the album came out, we were thinking they were mixing black metal with heavy metal influences (iron maiden, judas, etc,), therefore, the BM atmosphere was kinda gone..but we like Metal, after all.

lol that makes me laugh! nevertheless, COF was a cool band back then, Dusk and her Embrace is a great album, even they suck big balls nowadays.
