@deathblackthrashing metalcore = boys, while melodic death metal = MEN (even if you listen to the vocals you hear the difference between whiny scream and high/low pitched growl). metalcore songs are more repetitive than MDM and has more simple riffs. IMO metalcore has that specific "gaysound". i don't know how to explain it, just sounds gay to me.

@deathblackthrashing LOL, you're such a dumb. Actually this is more a Melodic Death Metal song than Metalcore. What you say is simply anachronic, this was created in 1997 and the Metalcore became a genre in the 2000's. Bands like At the Gates or Dismember influenced the guitar riffs which are played in Metalcore bands. One thing it's a kind of music and another an influence, I see you can't distinguish.

Bands like Dismember, Entombed and At the Gates basically started metal core. Back then there was none of the pidgeonhole bullshit, it was all METAL. The main difference as other people have said is production. I actually prefer this kind of production, it's a bit more raw. Also they didn't have gay sing along bits! \m/
