The 'dark, evil, gritty feel' is common in a lot of death metal. Try Grave Miasma, Vasaeleth, Coffins, Dead Congregation, Excoriate, Venenum, Incantation, Archgoat, Witchrist, Bolzer, etc etc

Not all black metal is screaming vocals or high pitched guitars or even blast beats, both genres are vast, but they often overlap too. I acknowledge it isn't BM but it has the "feel" about it, the dark, "evil" gritty feel that is common on BM but rare in DM, basically I understand what christopher kemmel meant even though this isn't DM.

This is like the opposite of black metal, no screaming vocals, high pitched guitars, or blast beats at all. Yeah it's dark and evil but that doesn't make it similar to black metal.

I understand what he means, I'm very into my black metal, and I'm picky about death, I find Disma, Incantation, Immolation, Dead Congregation etc. to be more my thing as it has the dirty grittiness of BM, even "evil" sounding if you get me. There's no BM sound as in no signature BM techniques like high distortion or w/e, but you can feel it... if that makes sense. (I'm logged onto my brother's account, so I may not reply if you do).
