original Clay Records single mix, not the abortion of a remix that's appeared on all of the various compilations. The way it SHOULD be hurt. Turn it up nice and loud.

I love the chords, hook, or whatever you call it. Takes me back to 1981 when I saw them play.

The template. Green Day. Metallica. Etc. Their entire careers and every ranch and penthouse they own were built on this masterpiece. Not an ounce of fat on it. Not a foot wrong. Not a wasted second or a moment's insincerity. It's a beautiful, ugly, brutal thing.

Bones (guitarist) left after this and it all went pear shaped. This is the first Discharge that is well produced. Sounds fucking brilliant and that guitar solo...

It's 32 years later and this record never gets old. Still amazing, and probably the best song written in the Discharge "formula."

Id say Chaos U.K. are a pretty close runner up to Discharge [when it comes to this style of punk anyway, hardcore/punk]....Varukers are somewhere in there too. and I gotta agree with partyongarth down there....that riff is definitely memorable & has feeling to it......and yet loses nothing in the way of hardness.

This is great stuff! My favorite band is Reagan Youth, then Adrenaline O.D. But I love discharge, too. Also exploited and Crass are awesome!

Motorhead kind of transcend any genre, though. Also, Broken Bones mixed up metal and hardcore and, at least on the early records, were great.
