The girl carrying a bucket of mountain dew is reminiscent of the European maiden of the old times, who would carry buckets of cow milk or water on their shoulder.And the fact that shes a cheerleader carrying gatorade makes it a symbolization of home and hearth in a modern context.So far, we dont really know how she really is in reality. We've only seen her through the imagination of the runner. But you can tell that he really loves her
