Nirvana & Sonic Youth were VERY tight, especially around the time of Nevermind's release. Just check out 1991: The Year Punk Broke (especially if you're a fan, you'll love it, great performances, great backstage antics, interviews, etc.), it's all footage from the European tour that SY brought Nirvana along on, and really helped give them a push before Teen Spirit hit the airwaves. The connection between the two bands is a lot stronger & deeper than Kim & Kurt just being friends :)10 years ago
