Images used for this video are taken from photos of my original vinyl copy of Dirk Steffens sole LP titled 'The Seventh Step' released in 1976 on Nova Records.

The audio is sourced from my vinyl copy utilizing an Oracle Delphi MKIII turntable, an SME45 tone arm, and a Vanden Hull MC-10 MC cartridge.

Dirk Steffens is one of the many great "lesser known" guitarists of the 70's. He played with Krautrockers 'Birth Control', and appeared on their 1973 album release 'Rebirth'. His only solo album 'The Seventh Step' was released 3 years later on the 'Nova Records' label, and went virtually unnoticed on this side of the pond. I got lucky and snatched this copy from the import bin upon its release at 'Sam the Record Man' on Yonge Street, Toronto back in '76. On the album, Dirk was backed by Rolf Köhler (bass/vocals), and Ian Cussick (drums/vocals).

After this, Dirk teamed up once again with Rolf and Ian in the short lived 'Tollhouse' (1978).

Bought this one in the late 70s after hearing "Just A Game" on Swedish radio. I was totally floored!!! It's still one of my all time 70s favourite albums! AWESOME!!

I bought this record in 1976, one of the best records from the seventies, it's a pity that it didn't get the appreciation it deserved.

@computerhog1 Not bad, as I've seen Mint Minus copies fetch upwards of $100.00 on eBay over the last few years :)
