The 1970´s were the top of music evolution. No other music style but the 1970´s rock turns me on

Is that David Knopfler on rythmic guitar ?

He does sound like Dylan. Also, his voice just doesn't seem to fit his face for some reason, if you know what I mean – kind of like Eric Burdon.

The best 3 guitarists who shun plecs - 1 - Mark Knopfler 2 - Wilco Johnson 3 - Lindsay Buckingham Such unique styles from each other! I'd give my left arm to play like them!.....Oh, wait!...no I wouldn't!

Timeless classic! I first heard this 28 years ago when a friend at school lent me a tape, I was already learning guitar but after hearing Mark I wanted to stop using a plectrum, but I found it too difficult to play anything other than Dire Straits and fleetwoond mac songs! So I went back to the pic

Anyone notice how he missed a note at the end of the solo build up at 4:36 but it sounds like he meant to do it, seriously check it out, you can only tell because you can see him stiffen up his back like they do on a long holding note, Still a boss though. Finger plucking is hard but to do it on knopfler's level is INSANE

Best live version ever of the best song ever ;) The original one will always be unbeatable, but live I definitely prefer this kind of stuff, closer to the original sound; no piano, no saxophone.....

Still think it's better than the album version.
