A live version of "Eastbound Train" made it onto the UK double vinyl edition of the "Walk of Life" single. It's the only official appearance on a Dire Straits recording that I know of.

@Thurzotron ok well i'm sorry i don't know every aspect of his life but you know people know knopfler for guitar and he plays right handed so i kinda went with that

Thurzotron

He's left handed in everyday life, he plays right handed. Look it up

@phailandaids He's left-handed... he can do stuff on the frets that most of us can only dream of... Fade to Black...

This song is on the B side of the Sultans of Swing single. I wish it had made it onto an album but I can't see where it would have fit in. Maybe in place of Southbound Again because they I feel they're similar songs in a way.

The man's pure genius, I'm sure if the beat was slightly altered you could here a touch of 'Riding on the gravy train' from the 'A night in London' DVD????
