People who say Dir hate America view Vinushka far too subjectively. I agree with ac6ikivea -- it's the spiteful, egoistic nature of humanity that Kyo hates. On Dum Spiro Spero, Die says he "wants people to find beauty in a hideous form," but how many of their songs prove the shallowness of human nature? In the back of Uroboros' lyric booklet, there's a line -- "Karma from nihility in one's own mind." They pledge nihilism, but I think that's just a dramatis persona. They hope, despite bullshit.

I'd have a really, really hard time hating a country that sold out my bands first show in that country in like 3 minutes, and Id probably also have a hard time recording songs in english...he can say whatever, but obviously theres a reason theres a few english songs by these guys, and im pretty sure it wasnt spite.

Kyo's still got it man, I definately thought they were going downhill 06-09 but I can tell with the recent vids I've seen that Kyo is back with an even more impressive voice than ever.

@festerlove Also, from my experience seeing them (I always catch them in LA since I'm there more often than not), he's usually better near the end of a tour, ironically. A lot of the shows that get taped are earlier, and sometimes he's noticably weaker. Dozing Green is also just really hard to sing. It varies show-to-show somewhat, but he hasn't permanently lost the ability to hit anything from what I can tell (saw him in November).

@festerlove I dunno cos he quit smoking and in the performance of Inconvenient Ideal from this show he comes pretty freakin close to hitting all the notes.
