The Beatles did a good job with this in their very early days with Tony Sheridan.

I'm much more into later acts such as The Association, The Lemon Pipers, Strawberry Alarm Clock, etc. but this IS badass!

I was correct, I found a photo, this is Dion And The Wanderers, this has to be dubbed. CARLO MASTRANGELO on the drums. PETE FALCIGLIA aka PETE BARON on bass, an Italian-American from the Bronx, he cut 'So Wrong/Broken Heart' as a lead singer with The Belmonts on Sabina Records. JOHNNY FALBO is a session man, guitar. This also has to be a 1965 or later appearance I assume because this group wasn't formed until 1965.

I'll bet my life this is Dion & The Wanderers. They're either lip-syncing or someone dubbed it with the original not knowing it isn't the Del Satins. This is Carlo on the drums, the Del Satins were gone when Carlo rejoined with Dion and formed the Wanderers.

Not live, no Del Satins to back him , that is Dion singing along with his record, The Del Satins a singing group were his studio back up group from Runaround Sue onward, The musicians here are phonies, since the record is being used. There was no live TV singing back then or in rock movies!!

What a great R & B voice this guy had, It's amazing, with the drug addictions he battled, that he's still with us. Great talent!!!!

From back-in-the-day, here's DION with Johnny Falbo on guitar, Carlo on drums, and background vocals by the DelSatins!

I wonder if the Voice would even recognize this as original with super star talent; something equal today.

Carlo on drums after his solo recordings. I believe this performance is 'Dion And The Wanderers' when Carlo rejoined Dion.
