The awesome thing about this is that DIO was a band, not just RJD solo act. You could take Ronnie's vocals off of this and it would still be badass, because RJD wanted to put together a great band and make great music, it wasn't just all about him. He was a great fan of metal, and was never the kind of egotistical douchebag so many other singers are. Appice's drums alone make this kickass.

This lineup of Dio was the best. Appice, Bain, and Campbell were monsters on this.

I'm still amazed by the engineering on this album. The sound is magnificent! You can really tell that Dio wanted a way to separate himself from Sabbath, just a little. CLASSIC!
