Lyrics:

Gjennom tidløse morkne drømmer

I fuktig høstvind over langstrakte vidder

Mot Sorias fjellheim

Kommer jeg, en fandens ridder

Glatt er runen på det høye fjell

Gnidd vekk av regn og vind

Dragende kraft av ondskap lurer

Her ved trollheims muldne grind

Fortumlet av dette mørke byggverk

Med røvet gull fra lysets pakt

Brukt som spott til å senke

Deres murer

Vi grunder over dette riket

Så vakkert fylt med tidløs skumring

Som en stjerne i tomsindighetens juv

Det bringer frem en nattlig mimring

Over tanker fra en vissen tid

Drott til himmels er det reist

Av tidens endeløse svarte minner

Stormblåst ut av det sorte indre

Har bergflint rullet fra mo til kneis

Undring og angst samler seg i natten

I mørket som ruver om spiret

For ingen dag kan veien

Intet lys kan luske frem

Der sorg har beseiret all glede

Og bygd et land på menneskets jord

Fylt med iskald prakt og heder

Looks like my comment sparked some attention. If people still like Dummu that's fine I happen to enjoy symphonic BM but not the cheesy stuff Dimmu currently plays, they are turning into another CoF and that's not a good thing. I can name many other symphonic BM bands that blow Dimmu away. Bishop of Hexen, Borgne, Blood Stained Dusk, Evilfeast, Moon (Australia), Midnight Odyssey, Lustre, Nokturnal Mortem, North Black, just to name a few. My collection is extensive, if it exists I probably have it rare or not, last I counted I had well over 3000 different BM bands of every Genre imaginable. Ranging from Symphonic, Pagan/Viking, Raw, ambient, melodic, black thrash even Post BM, etc. It's taken me years to build it and it's still growing, the point I'm trying to make is BM is stronger then ever and very extensive, the true beauty of it all is the sheer amount of great bands from countries you never would even think of. I encourage everyone to explore the genre because quite often it's in the dark crevices where the really good BM can be found.

This album sucks, let me rephrase that, this remake sucks. I liked the original album back when Dimmu still played good black metal. As the saying goes "if it ain't broke" remakes generally happen in an attempt to improve upon the original material. That being said just what; the hell was wrong with the original Stormblast? I'll answer that question absolutely nothing. The original album still contained the raw essence of true black metal and it got turned into to mainstream trendy poser crap that Dimmu has been playing since "Enthroned Darkness Triumphant". What happened to these guys they have totally abandoned their roots and the underground bm scene that supported them. Now they have become just like Cradle of Filth (go ahead and bring the hate comments)

This song was written as an honour to the norwegian natureHere is the translationThrough timeless decayed dreamsIn the damp autumn air over vast expansesTowards Sorias mountain rangesI come, a devil's knightslippery is the rune on the high mountainRubbed away by rain and winda dragging force of evil lurksHere at Trollheim's moldy gateStunned by this dark structurewith looted gold from the light covenantUsed as reproach to lowertheir wallsWe meditate over this kingdomSo beautiful filled with timeless twilightAs a star in the gorge of emptiness It brings a nightly mimringOver thoughts from a withered timestraight to the skies it raisedBy the time's endless black memoriesStorm blown out of the black innerHave flint rock rolled from the top to bottomWonder and anxiety gathers in the nightIn the darkness that looms on the spireFor no day knows the wayNo light can sneak inWhere sorrow has conquered all joyAnd built a country on human soilFilled with icy glory and joys

For some reason, this song makes me picture Norwegian villagers socializing during a dark, stormy night.

I don't understand the assumption that all people who listen to metal are angsty teenagers. I'm 27 years old, and I like metal, as well as many other genres of music. I don't listen to metal because I'm angry...but it does give me a lot of inspiration.Awesome song, by the way. Make sure to hook up some subwoofers for best results. :)
