Having seen Van in several venues my take is that whatever mood 'the man' is in is what you'll get. Best I've ever seen was in Santa Monica, Califronia in '74... an extraordinary nite ! but on the other hand at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas he sucked, a total waste of money and time. Either way I'll continue to go see him when he's in my area, cause I'm one of his long time fans. Take the good with the bad.

Is it me or is Van Morrison better in concert than on a record? I've never seen him live but, I've seen more than one video of him performing on YouTube. Each one is amazing.

Actually it's an alto. Since I asked that question I've been learning sax myself. A tenor is bigger and has a swan like neck on it. Thanks anyway:-)
