it's not a regular left hander. it's custom made for him with a left hander's body and a right hander's headstock and the strings in the right order from the headstock's perspective.

No he is a lefthander, when he learned how to play the guitar he could only get a right handed guitar and turned it around for playing. So he learned how to play with the low strings down and the high strings up, and being used to that he still plays like that now. As you can see from the cut out he is using a restringed left hander guitar with the low strings down and the high strings up.
