When I first saw Swept Away video when I was a kid, I'm not gonna lie that Diana Ross was looking good. I like the sexy nightgown she had on while laying in the bed and she got a nice body. If I was in the video in the bed with her, I would've kissed her legs and feet LOL. She started looking good in the early 80's because I didn't think she was cute when she first came out in the 60's.

Everything about this song and album was hot, the singing, the track, the dancing, the video, all the way down to the concept was fire! I am still loving it. I remember when Wphl-17 used to show videos on friday night when I was a kid in the 80's and it was like a club in the house, lol. They would play Cyndi Lauper, Art of Noise, Diana, Michael, Art of Noise. My musical tastes now are as a result of many of those videos they made in the 80's, much higher concepts and chances taken then today, in my humble opinion.

This is such a great video. The dance choreography is sick and it actually has a plot. The 80's had some videos that were either abstract or revolved around hedonism. Diana projected strength, femininity, sensuality and torment in a few minutes.

all this talk about daryl hall not getting credit. everyone who was a fan back then knew he was producing diana and produced this song. it was talked about for ages before the song came out. the shame was that here in australia we did not really see this clip much, even though the song was played a lot in the clubs...it was usually played early in the evening here at a club called pinochios.

My answer purely speculation, but Ross's prior hit to this song was her duet with Julio Iglesias "All Of You". Perhaps the label didn't want it to appear that Ross was following up one duet with another? As someone else has pointed out in the comments here, Hall is edited out of this song's version that was released to radio.

Yeah, I agree with you there. He did get credit for producing the song. On the 12" remix he is heard singing at the end of the song, so I don't think he went totally uncredited.
