A beautiful rendition of this Leonard Cohen song. Another great version is by Roberta Flack. I like to mix the beginning of Roberta's version into the end of Diana's when making a mix cd. Seek it out.

The most beautiful sweet and bitter sad song I ever heard! I love it from the bottom of my heart. Couldn't be performed any better by any other singer.

There is something so beautiful in Diana's soul that goes beyond all the petty human judgements of her mistakes, her temperament? and her limitations. This woman was born to perform and to communicate, which is a loving gift she has given generously for many decades now. She has shown by example the virtues of hard work, vital energy, perseverance, setting goals and creating dreams; of beautiful values and personal transformation. Let's honor Diana Ross and hold her up to the Light with Love.

I LOVE DIANA ROSS FOREVER... I LOVE HER SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER WHEN I WAS 13 YEARS OLD! IN 1964...

One of her most underrated recordings. I don't think the white American public was ready for this depth and beauty coming from a black woman who wasn't giving the church vibe as associated with African american music. The black American public was not ready to accept this style as part of our own either. Sadly, I fear when she is gone, our people will look back and realize how much quality and grace she brought to our people, and to the world.

I fondly remember this TV special. I remember skits involving Billy Dee Williams and the late Etta James. I also believe Dick Shawn made his final appearance before his murder. Diana did a vibrant cover of the Jackie Ross hit "Selfish One" Thanks for posting

Ditto,I was very ill when this came out. I loved this album & & would imagine in my mind as I often do W/Diana's music This is pretty how it played out in my mind. I didnt have access to her videos due to the hickville, redneck strange town that I once lived, what took so long for me to leave that awful place. There was no one to enjoy music with. I am so lucky, greatful to finally have access to all music video's,pic's info & such tremendous never ending fans real people to connect w/that love t

I always loved this album, TV special, and song. This one's a gem from that last RCA album of Diana's that is really great but, unfortunately, not heard or remembered very much. Beautiful.
