This sounds like something Gil Scott-Heron wrote, I once asked him could he cover it.

This should have been pushed as the lead single, could've been Top 10, she sounds great singing it, great message, and could've been a concert staple to this day for her. Just a great song, Berry Gordy probably loved it!

She got her point across Johnny was saying let's go up after she finished the song what any good singer can do!

Ross is STILL brownskinned. For proof check the Obama White House Celebration last year or the year before. She is very brown. She is often on stage with a very light, opague makeup base that retards the look of age and wrinkles in phootographs. She is also very brown on youtube in her Hollywood Bowl concert last summer. Just make up folks, move along, break it up nothing to see here.

RCA paid her $20million to leave Motown in 1981. They handed her sorry songs like this. Ugh. I would have loved for her to continue with Nile Rogers, but he ended up with some new girl named Madonna.

And your opinion is worth about as much as a fart in a windstorm. Diana was one of the best pop singers ever.

She's worn some strange things in her time. Remember that silly Big Bird outfit?

I'm sorry .....you are right Eric Beamon is the jewelry designer. I meant to say Frederic Luca is the designer. He also designed the Pointer Sisters dresses for "I'm so excited.

It wasn't Norma Kamali. It was an 80's designer named Eric Beamon.

It was a strange outfit for Diana

Diana was never about a singing contest. She even says that herself. She is a package of a different sort and her fans know it.

In my opinion Diana Ross has an ok singing voice. It was probably good for a lead singer of the supremes but for a solo artist not so much.. She is just ok... Not so amazing.

White men like Johnny were/are totally into her, besides being big fans of hers. Bob Hope adored her. David Letterman goes gaga over her
