Nicely done, but without the pain and disappointment this song loses its intensity. When Billie Holiday sings this song - it's not that her voice is much better than Diana but it's her willingness to be patient and hang on every word so the listener can 'read between the lines' and get the real meaning of the song. Diana's version is too smooth, too clean and BH's songs were never intended to be that way. That is why BH was and still is considered the best jazz singer to ever live.
