Chris Connor sang an equally torchy version back in the '50s, and after that Etta Jones. Didn't Peggy Lee both write and perform "I Didn't Know About You"? I love it when artists like Sinatra, Bennett, Bubé give credit to composers and notable predecessors. The Great American Songbook was constructed by America's best composers. Then the performers saved the great songs after the shows/movies they were written for were long forgotten.
