5年ほど前に、Diana Krallのサイトでこの曲のライブバージョンが見れたんですが、超かっこ良かった。どこかにないかなぁ?

@pandorabangles I am pretty confident that Diana has NEVER claimed to be better than Sinatra, Fitzgerald, or Garland. She sings in her style and if you don't like it, go watch a different video.

Alright, I'm LMAO!!! I am thoroughly humored by the release of such an enormous amount of flatulent air! The names of the dead are hurled back and forth and hoisted high on the altars of those who, in most cases, probably couldn't begin to screech-out the most rudimentary of Jazz tunes! I say who then will carry on? Diana is a courageous singer/musician who is broaching a genre, (surrounded by a multitude of archaic high-brow idiots), with as much passion as her influential predecessors.

I for one love Diana as an entertainer and musician. She has a great feel for the music and her Piano playing is superb. That being said, I agree however that she is definitely not a true singer, and to put her name with legends such as Ella is ridiculous. She is not even remotely close to a legend like Ella in terms of vocal skill. But why compare anyway, love her for what she does, instead of hating her for what she doesn't, and as far as being overrated... who these day isn't.

I don't think it's a matter that Krall is overrated. I think it's more a matter that so many jazz singers are criminally underrated. I think this is one of her better tunes.

honestly, i hate when people hate on diana krall @pandorabangles. clearly you have no idea that jazz isn't about the voice, it's about what you're doing with it. jazz is about feel. plus, you can never turn your nose up at someone who sings and plays jazz piano at the same time.

Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Garland blow this overrated bitch away. Exactly how low do we lower the bar?? Krall is an intelligent, talented musician, producer. But she CANNOT sing to save her life.

@aboctok People have their favorite foods, music etc and once a habit (good or bad) has formed, change does not come easy...(cultural) environment plays a big role. I lived somewhere else, Diana Krall and Glenn Gould were totally unknown entities where I grew up, although I listened to the radio as much as I could - my new environment exposed me to a new world... There is a large difference between policy and habit, yes , both can change, easier to change policy than people...

@neelsdp1 Interesting point, Neels.. an unbalanced musical diet. But I wonder, what are the substantive differences between policy and long-standing habit? Policy can change too!

Neels Duplessis

@aboctok I admit my music diet is not balanced at all...no policy, just habit...and habits can change!

@neelsdp1 ?? What kind of unearthly habit is THAT? You ignore everything after 1900 by policy?! Wow.. you must be saving it all for enjoying later! (We hope)
