This song makes me think of three things. 1. my friend Joshua who was the victim of a hit-and-run driver few years ago because he was walking home on a dark road. 2. my grandpa Jess, because he was such a positive influence on my life for the first 13 years of it. 3. my friend Alden who was a big fan of Diamond Rio, but he died of a drug overdose last year. I think he would have enjoyed this song.

Lost my beloved Maggie to the dreaded alcohol in March 2009. Time has not healed, I still hurt terribly, my love for her will never die. What a shame that the song writer went the same way. We have lost so many to this dreadful disease. This beautiful song says it all. Maggie was a brilliant Designer and a fabulous dancer, and like many others, was trying to stop drinking. My Mom died four three years ago and we loved and miss her so very much! My Brother, Sister and I put notes with promises on them in with her. We promised to live right in God's eyes and do what is right so that we could all be together again in Heaven! There are some days that it is hard to do the right thing but I am praying to Jesus and he helps and he will help me until we make it Home so that we can have that Happy Reunion up there!
