Even if Em ain't you're cup of tea you cannot deny his lyricism and raw ability. SSEP/LP and MMLP were raw as fuck, filled with sick ryhmes, gritty imagery, and responses to everyone who had a problem with his lyrics. The Eminem Show was amazing too, I mean, 'Till I Collapse isn't one of the greatest rap songs ever? And don't even try calling me a Stan or a dickrider cuz I DON'T unconditionally love all his shit. Encore was subpar and Relapse was god awful. Recovery was eh and MMLP2 sucked, but Bad Meets Evil with Royce was on point and a return was the wicked shit. And about some of Em's singles sounding pop, in case you don't understand what the industry is like, you need to a song that can be played on gay ass radio stations in order for ppl to hear about your album and go cop it. If anything blame dre! He's the one who made Em so fuckin marketable with those poppy ass beats. I feel like Em lost a lot ruggedness to his beats when he signed with dre. But you can't deny that Em's underground shit was fire. His verses on "365", "Watch Deez", and "Trife Thieves" are crazy clever as shit and lyrical as fuck. Furthermore, he's definitely paid his dues to HipHop. From being the only white boy rockin in Detroit hiphop shops to battling Juice at scribble jam. He's the man.
