First time I've ever heard this. Sublime. Of all the 'lost albums', this is the one I MUST have. Thanks for posting.

I've been thinking about this album for many many years now ...its great to hear this again. I was a teenager when I bought this cassette, along with Lloyd Cole, Blue Nile, Orange Juice and Jah Wobble. Etc...

This is the best track they ever did as far as Im concerned, the whole album was an experience, from that cover in their Ivy league clothes to the music inside. I bought this in 85 just on the strength of the new look they had adopted and have been playing it ever since. I hoping they give this track a run out at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester in September!

That is a true confirmation of the power of the song. What a great idea for tattoo. What makes this song such a thing of beauty is that it is not a flag waving jingoistic proclamation, but a knowledge of beauty (to use it's original title) in the pure and righteous feelings our parents passed on to us through their hardships. Sorry but to quote the man himself, he puts it better than I ever could; For what use is anything If I don't have the wisdom and warmth Of my past generations.
