Mhh, why do I like this version better? Stylistically that is, there is no doubt that the Epicloud version is much better mixed.

the new one, its just so much better. its a much more refined version especially the vocals. I dont really see a case for this version, course im not into punk genre, which normally gives people a love for raw vocals. not my thing.

Wow Devin has come miles and miles in his mixing and production skills. The new version is so clear, punchy, weighty, and organic compared to this one. This version is very tinny as are some of Devin's earlier productions. I love Ziltoid, but even that has some real mixing problems. The drums and bass really come through on Epicloud. Out with the old in the with the new I guess. It seems like every Devin release since Ziltoid has been better than the last. Z2 is really going to be his magnum opus I feel.

Good thing he made a remake. Much of his singing here is badly edited to fit with the song and some of it seems to be "out of tune". I still enjoyed this song listening to it the first time around; but listening to the remake blew me away!

But I also think it's obvious that he wanted to take a different direction with the new version. Listening to them separately, and especially in context with the rest of their respective albums, you can hear different emotions coming out of them. Almost as if you could hear his frustration and anxiety from years ago (in this version) and now his relief and clarity (Epicloud version). This is also particularly interesting given his previous drug use and how he changed his whole life around.
